Syracuse University Project Advance Term: 2017-18 Academic Year Amount: $53,360 Scope: The Syracuse University Project Advance initiative will provide Gorton High School students in the Academy of Medical Professions (AMP) Smart Scholars ECHS program the opportunity to earn college credits by taking dual credit college level equivalent nine semester hour credit courses during the 2017-18 academic year. WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Syracuse University Project Advance to purchase services to support Gorton High School students in the Academy of Medical Professions (AMP) Smart Scholars ECHS program the opportunity to earn college credits by taking dual credit college level equivalent nine semester hour credit courses for the 2017-2018 school year, WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Syracuse University Project Advance, a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and, WHEREAS the District has determined that these services can best be provided by Syracuse University Project Advance, and, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Syracuse University Project Advance at a cost not to exceed $53,360. It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
