Rationale:
|
This is to continue to provide for service and repair of the HVAC controls and pneumatic compressors throughout the district. This includes thermostats, valves, dampers and other devices controlling HVAC as well as the air-compressors supplying the air to run these controls.
In compliance with General Municipal Law 103, this contract was publicly advertised in August 2017. Bids were opened and read aloud in public on September 9, 2017. Only one bid was received which was from EMF who has won all bids for this work since 2011. This contracts is renewable annually under mutual agreement for up to additional 2 years. All terms and condition remain the same except that changes in NYS Prevailing wages will be reflected. This is the first of two possible contract extensions for Energy Management of Facilities,(EMF) Inc. PO Box 176, 5W Cross Street, Hawthorne, NY 10532

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS bids were solicited and opened on Sept. 9, 2017, in compliance with General Municipal Law for the in the Yonkers Public Schools, and
WHEREAS Board Item No. 16.6, dated September 19, 2017, was approved awarding said contract to Energy Management of Facilities, Inc., in the amount of $539,500.00, and
WHEREAS bid specifications provide for annual extensions, by the mutual consent of both parties, under the same terms and conditions of the original contract for up to two additional years, and
WHEREAS the administration recommends the first extension of this contract from November 6, 2018 – November 5, 2019.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the provision in contract #2018-00000247 “MAINTENANCE and REPAIR of HVAC CONTROLS”, to extend for one year by mutual consent the original terms and conditions of this contract be exercised with Energy Management of Facilities, Inc., (dba EMF), 5 Cross Street, Hawthorne, New York 10532 at accost not to exceed $539,500.00 for a term of 365 calendar days.
