Rationale:
|
Bids for RFP 6266 were publically advertised, received and opened on April 27, 2018. Three bids were received and reviewed. Bids ranged from the winning bid of $83,525.00 to $132,562.50. This year’s award is $13,225.00 less than last year’s contract.
Scotty Electric Corp., has won this contract in the past through competitive bidding and has performed acceptably. Last years’ contract was awarded for $96,750.00, out of which $95,450 was expensed, and the contract left with a balance of $1,300.00.
This is the annual electric service contract on a requirements basis, with the provision for renewal up to three years by mutual consent and under the same terms and conditions as described for electrical repairs, motor replacement, running cables, ballast replacement and troubleshooting that is beyond in-house capabilities throughout the District.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: in compliance with NYS General Municipal Law 103 bids were duly solicited, opened in public and read aloud on April 27, 2018 for Bid 6266 and,
WHEREAS: Three bids were received with Scotty Electric Corp. having the lowest responsive and responsible bid of $83,525.00, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Superintendent of Schools is authorized to enter into a contract for Bid No. 6266 “On-Call Electrical Repair Services” to Scotty Electric Corp., 22 Holls Terrace South, Yonkers ,NY 10701 in the amount of $83,525.00 for a term of 365 days.
