Term: November 2023-August 2024
Amount: $39,960
Scope: To coordinate the “MY BROTHER’S KEEPER” Community Initiative and functions as the Yonkers Public Schools MBK Liaison with the City of Yonkers Mayor’s Office and participate on the District Obama Alliance team. Mr. Joyner oversees the district wide mentoring program, facilitates parent, student, community and staff meetings.

Resolution:

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Gregory Joyner to purchase consulting services to coordinate the MY Brother’s Keeper community Initiative and functions as the Yonkers Public Schools MBK Liaison for the 2023-2024 school year,
WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Gregory Joyner a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,
WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Interim Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Gregory Joyner to provide these services, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Gregory Joyner at a cost not to exceed $39,960.
