Scope: To provide sixty-two (62) additional seats to 4 year old students which will increase the dollar amount from $732,000.00 to $1,104,000.00.

Resolution: WHEREAS, six (6) schools submitted requests to provide prekindergarten services to four-year old students from the Yonkers Public Schools, and

WHEREAS, the Yonkers Public Schools wishes to provide an additional sixty-two (62) prekindergarten (PreK-4) seats for students and families collaborating with Community Based Organizations (CBO's) as required by New York State Universal Prekindergarten Regulations, and

WHEREAS, the Yonkers Public Schools convened a Universal Prekindergarten Committee to evaluate the proposals submitted and conducted site visits.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT Yonkers Public Schools hereby awards its Universal Prekindergarten contracts to the following CBO's (listed in rank order from highest to lowest scores) providing one hundred eighty-four (184) seats for a total dollar amount of $1,104,000.00:

1. St. Peter’s Child Care Center (22 Additional Students=$132,000.00)-FOR A NEW TOTAL OF 54 STUDENTS=$324,000.00
2. Westchester Community Opportunity Program Inc. (12 Additional Students=$72,000.00)-FOR A NEW TOTAL OF 44 STUDENTS=$264,000.00
3. Catholic School Region of Central Westchester (32 Students =$192,000.00)-REMAINS THE SAME
4. Rising Ground (Formerly Leake & Watts) (8 Additional Students=$48,000.00)-FOR A NEW TOTAL OF 18 STUDENTS=$108,000.00 5. Andalusia School (8 Additional Students=$48,000.00)-FOR A NEW TOTAL OF 18 STUDENTS=$108,000.00 6. ACDS Westchester (12 Additional Students=$72,000.00)-FOR A NEW TOTAL OF 18 STUDENTS=$108,000.00

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Yonkers Public Schools authorizes the Superintendent to amend the applicable contracts negotiations and agreements with the Community Based Organizations listed above for the 2019-2020 school year.

It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation.
