Rationale: This Amendment is to provide Professional Development for Teachers and Pupil Support Staff. The focus of this Professional Development is maximizing the Student Measures Data Component of the Student Information System. Professional Development includes, but is not limited to: Academic Contact Time, Academic Tracking, and assignment to advanced coursework.
Term: March 2020 - May 2020
Amount: $26,600.00
Funding: Title IIA 490.5241.20D153.2070.B2300 Pending NYSED approval for carry over funds.
Resolution: WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to amend its existing contract with Student Information Systems through Power School as a service hosting and maintenance fees for the 2019-2020 school year. This is a renewal for the second year of a three-year contract signed in the 2018-2019 school year and will focus on Professional Development for Teachers and Pupil Support Staff for the 2019-2020 school year
WHEREAS this amends a resolution for PowerSchool and will provide training that focuses on the Scheduling process of PowerSchool for Teachers and Pupil Support Staff for the 2019-2020 school year,
WHEREAS since this is a hosted application all maintenance, support, upgrades and backing up of data is included with the annual subscription.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Power School at a cost not to exceed 313,203.66.
It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
