Rationale: Original Amount of Contract & Date of BOE/BOCS Approval: $4,200: BOE approved 10/17/18, BOCS approved 11/1/18 Scope: The College of Westchester will work together with the District to develop curriculum and provide concurrent enrollment for academic dual credit university/college courses for students at Gorton High School Roosevelt HS - Early College Studies during the 2018-19 school year. Details of Previous Amendments: $4,935: BOE approved 12/19/18 BOCS approved 12/27/18. Details of New Amendment: Agreement to amend existing contract with College of Westchester (CW) to provide additional services to Gorton High School and Roosevelt High School - Early College Studies. This is amendment to existing contract of $9,135 and represents an increase of $13,870 due an increase of services being provided. The total contract amount will be $23,005.

Resolution: WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to amend an existing contract with College of Westchester to purchase additional professional services to support the Roosevelt High School – Early College Studies and Gorton High School learning communities by providing additional services for the 2018-2019 school year,

WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with College of Westchester a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,

WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with College of Westchester to provide these services, and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to amend an existing agreement with College of Westchester at a cost not to exceed $13,870.00.

It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
