Re: TO CONTINUE LICENSING AND SOFTWARE MODULE UPDATES WITH HEARTLAND SCHOOL SOLUTIONS TO SUPPORT FOOD SERVICES IN MANAGING ELECTRONIC TRANSACTIONS AND REPORTING.
Ladies and Gentlemen: WHEREAS, the Board of Education approved the 2008 purchase and five (5) year maintenance and software agreement with Heartland School Solutions (FORMERLY KNOWN AS: "Nutrikids/Lunchbyte") WHEREAS, Heartland School Solutions is a USDA and SED approved software to generate claim and revenue reports, to electronically review and process lunch applications and to analyze menus for nutrient content to ensure compliance with USDA Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOVED: That licensing and software updates continue for school year 2017-2018 as reflected in Heartland School Solutions invoice number REC0000022199 in the amount of $14,885.75 AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:That the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to continue receiving licensing and software support from the above mentioned firm.
