Rationale:
|
This resolution authorize the Superintendent of Schools to execute the subject contract.
This scope of this contract will include the complete installation and programming of 84 network CCTV IP Cameras (22 at Riverside, 21 at Roosevelt, 20 at Lincoln and 21 at Gorton) to cover a variety of indoor and outdoor locations, 2 key card/readers per school with compatible door hardware; all to seamlessly work with the Schools existing Ccure-9000/Victor Video unification platform.
The detailed technical design, installation and commissioning of the security system is to be completed by ITG Larson via New York State Contract PT66950 Group 77201, Award 20191. The design is stamped by Sammel Architecture PLLC and the work is eligible building aid.
ITG Larson is currently engaged in an annual service contract with the District “Service Contract for Maintenance & Repair of Video Surveillance Systems” and has been the design/install of high tech systems in several CIP’s

Resolution:

Ladies and Gentlemen;
WHEREAS: the Yonkers Board of Education desire to continue improving its security systems, and
WHEREAS: the systems at Riverside, Roosevelt, Lincoln and Gorton High Schools are very limited, and
WHEREAS: it is most prudent for the District to monitor the high use areas with full CCTV capability and control access to the property, and
WHEREAS: such installations are available from ITG Larson through New York State Office of General Service Contract PT66950 Group 77201, Award 20191 to which the District is authorized to partake, and
WHEREAS: ITG Larson is currently engaged by the District to manage and maintain its security system in compliance with the City of Yonkers requirements, and supply the parts and programming for capital security improvements, and
WHEREAS: the proposal by ITG Larson to furnish, install and program new CCTV cameras, card readers and related equipment under NYSOGS Contract PT66950 Group 77201, Award 20191 for an amount not to exceed $421,821.97 is acceptable and consistent with said contract.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to engage ITG Larson, Inc. 155 Lafayette Avenue White Plains, NY 10603 for CCTV and Security System Upgrades at Riverside, Roosevelt, Lincoln and Gorton High Schools via New York State Contract PT66950 Group 77201, Award 20191 in amount not to exceed $421,821.97 for term of 365 calendar days.
