Rationale: The Preschool Development Expansion Grant (PDG) requires that the Yonkers Public Schools District collaborates with external agencies. This resolution contract with Westchester Community Opportunity Program, Inc. for the 2017-2018 school year expenses of $216,000.00. It is responsive to the District’s non-negotiable goal #1: Student Achievement.

Brigance and Teaching Strategies Gold Assessment, site visits from the Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Instruction and Administration and New York State Education Department site visitations.

Resolution: WHEREAS: the following facilities have submitted requests respectfully to provide these PK services to students of the Yonkers Public Schools at the following costs: Westchester Community Opportunity Program, Inc. of Yonkers $216,000.00.

WHEREAS the Yonkers Public Schools wish to provide more PK seats for students and families as required by New York State PDG Regulations, and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with each of the above named organizations for the provision of these services at a total cost not to exceed the amount of $216,000.00 for the school year.
