Scope: The purpose of the services to be provided at Scholastic Academy, Cross Hill Academy and Roosevelt High School is to promote the social and emotional wellness of students, reduce school absentee and suspension rates, identify and help challenged learners, and promote the overall resilience of students during the 2017-18 academic year.

Resolution: WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Westchester Jewish Community Services to purchase consulting services to promote the social and emotional wellness of students, reduce school absentee and suspension rates, identify and help challenged learners, and promote the overall resilience of students at Scholastic Academy, Cross Hill Academy and Roosevelt High School for the 2017-2018 school year,

WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Westchester Jewish Community Services, a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,

WHEREAS the District has determined that these services can best be provided by Westchester Jewish Community Services, and,

WHEREAS the District has evaluated past services from the vendor and has determined that Westchester Jewish Community Services has performed in a satisfactory manner, and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Westchester Jewish Community Services at a cost not to exceed $146,092.

It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
