Scope: Daniel Washington will introduce healthy eating and healthy living workshops to parents and students in the Extended Learning Program at Scholastic Academy during the 2017-18 academic year. These workshops will foster the community school culture and will also increase parental involvement and engagement in the school.

Resolution:

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Daniel Washington to purchase consulting services to support healthy eating and healthy living workshops at Scholastic Academy for the 2017-2018 school year,
WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Daniel Washington, a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,
WHEREAS the District has determined that these services can best be provided by Daniel Washington, and,
WHEREAS the District has evaluated past services from the vendor and has determined that Daniel Washington has performed in a satisfactory manner, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Daniel Washington at a cost not to exceed $6,000.
It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
