Rationale: To educate all students for academic excellence at no cost to the District.
Funding: No cost to the District- donation.
Resolution: WHEREAS, pursuant to its Junior Fire Marshal Program, The Hartford Insurance Company wishes to donate $20,000.00 to the Yonkers Public Schools to support ongoing fire safety education within the Yonkers Public Schools,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby approves the Hartford’s donation of $20,000.00 to support initiatives within the Yonkers Public Schools to allow the City of Yonkers Fire Department to provide Fire Prevention Education to the students in Yonkers;

AND IT BE FURTHER RESOLVED: The School District will allocate these funds towards providing educational materials and fire prevention training throughout the School District with the assistance of the City of Yonkers Fire Department.
