Rationale: The Universal Prekindergarten Grant (UPK) and Preschool Development Expansion Grant (PDG) require that the Yonkers Public Schools District collaborates with external agencies. This resolution contract will incorporate Kids Allowed as part of the agencies for the 2018-2019 school year expenses of $108,000.00 and will amend the amount awarded to the Catholic School Region from $498,000.00 to $390,000.00.

Resolution: WHEREAS 10 schools submitted requests to provide prekindergarten services to four-year old students from the Yonkers Public Schools;

WHEREAS the Yonkers Public Schools wish to provide more prekindergarten seats for students and families as required by New York State Universal Prekindergarten Regulations;

WHEREAS the Yonkers Publics Schools convened a Universal Prekindergarten Committee to evaluate the proposals submitted and conducted site visits for each submission;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that resolution 17.14 from the August 15, 2018 Board of Education meeting is amended to reflect an addition to the below vendors to add Kids Allowed Preschool /$108,000.00 and amend the amount awarded to the Catholic School Region of Central Westchester from $498,000.00 to $390,000.00. The Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with each of the organizations named below for the provision of these services at a total cost not to exceed the amount of $1,164,000.00 for the school year.
