Rationale: College of Westchester
Term: December 2018 – August 2019
Amount: $4,935
Scope: Agreement to amend existing contract with College of Westchester (CW) to provide additional services to Roosevelt High School – Early College Studies. CW will work together with the District to develop curriculum and provide concurrent enrollment for academic dual credit university/college courses for Roosevelt High School students. This is amendment to existing master contract #2019-00000405 of $4,200 and represents an increase of $4,935 due an increase of services being provided. The total contract amount will be $9,135.

Resolution: WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to amend its existing contract with College of Westchester to purchase additional services to develop curriculum and provide concurrent enrollment for academic dual credit university/college courses for students at Roosevelt High School – Early College Studies during the December 2018 to August 2019 term,

WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with College of Westchester, a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,

WHEREAS the District has determined that these services can best be provided by College of Westchester, and,

WHEREAS the District has evaluated past services from the vendor and has determined that College of Westchester has performed in a satisfactory manner, and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with College of Westchester at a cost not to exceed $4,935.

It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
