Rationale:
|
This resolution authorize the Superintendent of Schools to execute the subject contract. via New York State Contract PT66950 Group 77201, Award 20191.
Under this contract ITG Larsen will furnish, install and program card readers and CCTV cameras at the front and rear entrance to the building. This is for employee access control.
The main doors will be served by a new remote controlled lock and intercom system for visitor control. This system will be COY compliant and be addressable to plug into future security improvements.
The detailed technical design, installation and commissioning of the security system is to be completed by ITG Larsen under NYSOGS contract. ITG Larsen is currently engaged in an annual service contract with the District “Service Contract for Maintenance & Repair of Video Surveillance Systems” and has been the designer/installer of high tech security most of the District’s recent and on-going CIP’s.

Resolution:

Ladies and Gentlemen;
WHEREAS the Yonkers Board of Education desire to continue improving its security systems, and
WHEREAS: the employee and visitor access control system at Cross Hill Academy is very limited, and
WHEREAS: it is most prudent for the District to monitor, record and control employee and visitor access via the placement of 2 card readers with CCTV cameras and remote control locks and video intercom at the main entrance, and
WHEREAS: such installations are available from ITG Larson through New York State Office of General Service Contract PT66950 Group 77201, Award 20191 to which the District is authorized to partake, and
WHEREAS: ITG Larson is currently engaged by the District to manage and maintain its security system in compliance with the City of Yonkers requirements, and supply the parts and programming for capital security improvements, and
WHEREAS: the proposal by ITG Larson to furnish, install and program the described access control system under NYSOGS Contract PT66950 Group 77201, Award 20191 for an amount not to exceed $29,708.49 is acceptable and consistent with said contract.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to engage ITG Larson, Inc. 155 Lafayette Avenue White Plains, NY 10603 for Main Door Access Controls at Cross Hill Academy via New York State Contract PT66950 Group 77201, Award 20191 in amount not to exceed $29,708.49 for term of 365 calendar days.
