Rationale:
|
This contract was awarded to Best Climate Control under NYS General Municipal Law 103 via Board Resolutions 22.17 on June 19, 2018 and is hereby being extended for another year under the same terms and conditions.
The purpose of this contract is for the annual service, preventative maintenance and repairs of all chiller and roof-top mounted air-conditioner systems throughout the District.
FOCUS POPULATION: Included are all schools in the Yonkers Public School District.
ASSESSMENT PROCESS: School Facilities Management Department will evaluate performance of contractor with on-site inspections and record keeping.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: bids were solicited and opened on April 25, 2018, in compliance with General Municipal Law for “Air Conditioning Maintenance” in Yonkers Public Schools, and as a result of an examination of the bids submitted, the administration recommended the award to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
WHEREAS: Board Item 22.17, dated June 19, 2018, was approved awarding a contract to Best Climate Control Corp.. in the amount of $558,362.50 and
WHEREAS: bid specifications provide for annual extensions by the mutual consent of both parties under the same terms and conditions of the original contract for up to two additional years, and
WHEREAS; the administration recommends the extension of this contract for a additional year from July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to extend this annual Contract No. 2019-00000125 with Best Climate Control, 75 Orville Drive, Bohemia, NY 11716 at the same cost of $558,362.50
