Uptown Classics LLC Term: January, 2018 – August, 2018 Amount: $178,750 Scope: Agreement to amend existing contract with Uptown Classics LLC to provide 190 additional hours of after school, Winter and Spring break performing arts programming to the students of Gorton High School, Palisade Prep and members of the Yonkers Community Choir. This is an amendment to the existing master contract of $40,757 (BOE approved 12/20/17 and BOCS approved 12/28/17) and represents an increase of $178,750 due to an increase of the number of schools being serviced. The total contract amount will be $219,507. This amendment will extend the term of the contract from 12/1/2017 - 6/30/2018 to 8/31/2018 with no increase to the aggregate because the grant ends on 8/31/18. WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to amend its existing contract with Uptown Classics LLC to purchase additional consulting services to provide 190 additional hours of after school, Winter and Spring break performing arts programming to the students of Gorton High School, Palisade Prep and members of the Yonkers Community Choir for the 2017-2018 school year, WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Uptown Classics LLC, a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and, WHEREAS the District has determined that these services can best be provided by Uptown Classics LLC, and, WHEREAS the District has evaluated past services from the vendor and has determined that Uptown Classics LLC has performed in a satisfactory manner, and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Uptown Classics LLC at a cost not to exceed $178,750. It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
