Amount: $19,975
Scope: Agreement to amend existing contract with Groundwork Hudson Valley to provide additional S.T.E.A.M. education programming services to Cedar Place School during the 2017-18 school year. The program focus for 7th to 8th grade students in Cedar Place School will be exploring systems and patterns in nature through an arts lens. This is an amendment to existing master contract # 2018-00000497 for $45,000 which was approved by the Board on 12/20/17 and BOCS approved on 12/28/17. This amendment represents an increase of $19,975 due to an increase of schools and services being provided. The total contract amount will be $64,975.

Resolution: WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to amend its existing contract with Groundwork Hudson Valley to purchase additional consulting services to support S.T.E.A.M. educational programming at Cedar Place School for the 2017-2018 school year,

WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Groundwork Hudson Valley, a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,

WHEREAS the District has determined that these services can best be provided by Groundwork Hudson Valley, and,

WHEREAS the District has evaluated past services from the vendor and has determined that Groundwork Hudson Valley has performed in a satisfactory manner, and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Groundwork Hudson Valley at a cost not to exceed $19,975.

It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
