1.Program Recommendations for Preschool Disabled Children
Term: 2024-2025
Scope: This is a resolution as required by Part 200 Regulations from the Special Education Department requesting the Board of Trustees' approval of all program recommendations presented by the Committee on Pre-school Special Education (CPSE) during the month.
FOCUS POPULATION:
Preschool Age Children who have been deemed Disabled
ASSESSMENT PROCESS:
Monitoring IEP Goals for each individual

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS a Committee on Preschool Special Education has been organized and approved by the Board of Education and said Committee has reviewed cases referred to it in accordance with the requirements of the State of New York and has recommended placement in the State approved out-of-district and private schools in accordance with the Regulations of the State of New York, and
WHEREAS the State Regulations require the county to be fiscally responsible, and to contract with individual schools after the local Board of Education reviews the CPSE recommendation.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education of the City of Yonkers approve the recommended placement of students into the schools recommended by the Committee on Preschool Special Education and that the listing of such placements be maintained in the office of the Executive Assistant to the Board of Trustees.
