Rationale:
|
This resolution authorize the Superintendent of Schools to execute the subject contract.
Under this contract ITG Larsen will furnish, install and program three new digital exterior cameras, new card reader access control system, video intercom for public access at two locations. This price includes an upset cost for wiring by subcontractors which will be paid on an as needed basis. The amount shown is the maximum, not to exceed upset price.
This work is required for several reasons including the need to conform to the system requirements and communicate with the City of Yonkers security system.
ITG Larsen is currently the vendor covering the maintenance of the district wide security systems and equipment and materials supplier to BOE CIP security projects.

Resolution:

Ladies and Gentlemen;
WHEREAS the Yonkers Board of Education desire to continue improving its security systems, and
WHEREAS: the system at Yonkers Middle High School needs to be upgraded to communicate with the City of Yonkers and provide controlled access for the public and employees, and
WHEREAS: such upgrades are available from ITG Larson through New York State Office of General Service Contract to which the District is authorized to partake, and
WHEREAS: ITG Larson is currently engaged by the District to manage and maintain its security system in compliance with the City of Yonkers requirements, and supply the parts and programming for capital security improvements, and
WHEREAS: the proposal by ITG Larson to furnish, install and program 4 new exterior CCTV cameras, four card readers and 2 video intercoms under NYSOGS Contract PT66950 Group 77201, Award 20191 for an amount not to exceed $45,762.45 for term of 365 calendar days which acceptable and consistent with said contract.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to engage ITG Larson, Inc. 155 Lafayette Avenue White Plains, NY 10603 for CCTV Security System Upgrades at Yonkers Middle High School via New York State Contract PT66950 Group 77201, Award 20191 in amount not to exceed $45,762.45 for term of 365 calendar days.
