Rationale:
|
Request for quotes 2018 2345 was issued to select vendors on April 10, 2018 and received form three vendors on April 13, 2018. Bids ranged from the above winning bid up to $19,487.00.
This is to replace the defunct street leaf vacuum for use throughout the District. The lapse of the past two years without a vactruck indicated that such a machine is needed to get this work done.
This is for the purchase of (1) SCAG Giant Vac TLB25-48KBD, 48hp Kubota Industrial, 4cyl., liquid cooled, 48hp diesel, 7,318 CFM, Pintle-Hitch, 2,300lbs

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: in compliance with NYS General Municipal Law 104b a request for quotes 2018-2345 for the procurement of a towed street vacuum for leaf and debris removal was issued on April 10 and received on April 13, 2018, and
WHEREAS: three proposals were received with Precision Mower and Power Equipment having the lowest responsive and responsible bid of $17,250.00, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Superintendent of Schools is authorized to issue a purchase order for RFQ2018-2345 “SCAG GIANT VAC” to Precision Mower and Power Equipment, 3W. Orchard Street, Nanuet, NY 10954 in an amount not to exceed $17,250.00 for a term of 180 calendar days.
