CLUSTER Community Services
Term: December, 2017 – June 30, 2018
Amount: $66,500
Scope: Agreement to amend existing contract with CLUSTER Community Services to provide additional consulting services to Museum School 25, Robert C. Dodson School and Martin Luther King, Jr. Academy during the 2017-18 school year. CLUSTER will hire, train and place a Restorative Practice Coordinator in Museum School 25 for three days a week and Robert C. Dodson School two days a week. CLUSTER will also place a full time AmeriCorp counselor at Martin Luther King, Jr. Academy to conduct Restorative Circles with students. This is an amendment to the existing master contract #2018-00000153. The original resolution for $100,000 was approved by the Board on 8/16/17 and BOCS approved on 8/25/17. This amendment represents an increase of $66,500 due to an increase in schools and services being provided. The total contract amount will be $166,500.

Resolution:

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to amend its existing contract with CLUSTER Community Services to purchase additional consulting services to hire, train and place a Restorative Practices Coordinator in Museum School 25 and Robert C. Dodson School and provide a full time AmeriCorp counselor at Martin Luther King, Jr. Academy to conduct Restorative Circles with students during the 2017-18 school year,
WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with CLUSTER Community Services, a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,
WHEREAS the District has determined that these research based services can best be provided by CLUSTER Community Services, and,
WHEREAS the District has evaluated past services from the vendor and has determined that CLUSTER Community Services has performed in a satisfactory manner, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with CLUSTER Community Services at a cost not to exceed $66,500.
It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
