Lehman College Art Gallery
Term: December, 2017 – June 30, 2018
Amount: $2,000
Scope: Agreement with Lehman College Art Gallery to have thirty high school students from Roosevelt High School – Early College Studies work with LCAG teaching artists in a half-day Linocut Printmaking Immersion Camp. Using guided inquiry-based tours, writing with art and art workshops, students will develop visual literacy and deepen observational, language and studio art skills.

Resolution:

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Lehman College Art Gallery to purchase consulting services to support the development and strengthening of drawing, studio art making and writing skills of Roosevelt High School students for the 2017-2018 school year,
WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Lehman College Art Gallery, a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,
WHEREAS the District has determined that these services can best be provided by Lehman College Art Gallery, and,
WHEREAS the District has evaluated past services from the vendor and has determined that Lehman College Art Gallery has performed in a satisfactory manner, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Lehman College Art Gallery at a cost not to exceed $2,000.
It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
