Per GML103 BID RFB-6353 opened 02/01/19, BID award TECH-ED Systems, Inc. in the amount of $39,894.00. The Automotive Program at Saunders High School is requisitioning the purchase of equipment to provide students training in computerized and manual troubleshooting, diagnostics, maintenance and repair of motor vehicles by ASE - certified instructors. The purchase of said services will prepare students for the transition from school to the world of work through a rigorous 4 year curriculum where students will learn the skills previously mentioned and the program culminates with various industry certification opportunities. TECH-ED Systems, Inc. order consists of; Drum/Disc Brake (4-Wheel), Suspension and Steering System (model 500), including but not limited to Steering, Suspension and Tires. Injector/Fuel Pump System (model 670), GM J1850 OBD II, Engine Cooling Fan System (model 310FJ), GM Electronic Ignition System (model 1772), Electrical /PWM/Fault Trainer, Applied Electrical Circuit Trainer.

Resolution:

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with TECH-ED Systems, Inc. to purchase supplies and equipment to support the Automotive Program at Saunders High School for the 2018-2019 school year,
WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with TECH-ED Systems, Inc. a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,
WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with TECH-ED Systems, Inc. to provide the services, and,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED; That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with TECH-ED Systems, Inc. at a cost not to exceed $39,894.00.
It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
