KG+D Architects, P.C. Amount: $48,000.00 Scope: To provide additional architectural and engineering services for Capital Project 10936, “Window Replacement & Athletic Field Improvements” at Saunders Trades & Technical High School. This includes providing Bidding & Negotiation and Construction Administration services. Overview: CIP 10936 includes replacement of windows and shades, replacement of the turf field carpet, asphalt restoration of the walking track, improvements to football/soccer field bleachers and requisite hazardous materials amelioration. The project cost is estimated to $3.2 million. Bidding & Negotiation and Construction Administration services were deliberately left out under the original request for proposal. KG+D Architects, P.C. (KG+D) fee to provide these additional services is in the amount of $48,000.00.

WHEREAS via resolution 16.14 dated April 20, 2022, the Board of Education authorized the awarded of Purchase Order 2022-6856 for Architectural Services for CIP 10935 & 10936, “Window Replacement” at the Robert C. Dodson School and Saunders Trades & Technical High School” to KG+D Architects, P.C. in the amount of $441,000.00 and a term of 365 calendar days under Contract 2020-0630, and WHEREAS via resolution 19.4 dated April 19, 2023, the Board of Education authorized Amendment 1 of Purchase Order 2022-6856 for CIP 10936, to KG+D Architects, P.C., in the amount of $41,000.00, increasing their task from $441,000.00 to $482,000.00, and WHEREAS Amendment 2 is required for additional architectural services for bidding and negotiation and construction administration services for CIP 10936, “Window Replacement & Athletic Field Improvements” at the Saunders Trades & Technical High School, and WHEREAS KG+D Architects, P.C has presented an acceptable proposal to complete this added task at a cost of $48,000.00. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to issue Amendment 2 under Contract 2024-0873 to KG+D Architects, P.C for $48,000.00, increasing their task amount to $530,000.00.
