Rationale:
|
Bids for RFB -6468 were publicly advertised, received and opened on January 15, 2020.
The bids came back with only three qualified bidders. This year’s award is $ 3,725.00 less than last year’s contract due to competitive bidding. Last year’s contract was awarded for $27,050 to Rapid Pump and fully expensed.
This is the annual service contract, with the provision for renewal for upto two additional years by mutual consent under the same terms and conditions for the service and repair of electric motors and pumps.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: the District is best served in its desires to operate and maintain in good condition all of its heating, cooling and ventilation equipment by an annual service contract with a suitable vendor to provide repair services for pumps and electric motors, and
WHEREAS: in compliance with NYS General Municipal Law 103 bids were duly solicited, opened in public and read aloud on January 15, 2020 for Bid 6468 to provide such services, and
WHEREAS: Out of the three bids received Premco Inc. was determined to be the lowest responsive and responsible bidder with a bid of $23,325.00, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the Superintendent of Schools is authorized to enter into a contract for Bid No. 6468, “Service and Repair of Electric Motor and Pumps” to Premco Inc., 11 Beechwood, New Rochelle, NY 10801 in the amount not to exceed $23,325.00 for a term of 365 days.
