Rationale:
|
This is to continue to provide No. 2 heating via NYSOGS GROUP 05500, AWARD 22779 Contract No. PC66720 to United Metro Oil in an amount not to exceed $3,000,000 for all District owned and operated buildings and supplemental fuel for the City of Yonkers. Usage is estimated at 1.5 million gallons for the Yonkers Public Schools and 25,000 gallons for the City. The current price is roughly $1.83 per gallon. At current rates and the above usage estimate the annual cost of fuel would be $2,751,300.00.
The upset amount of $3,000,000 is reduced from $3,300,000 proposed last year.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: the district is required to supply number 2 heating all to most of its schools and other facilities to provide heat and hot water, and
WHEREAS: such service is available for procurement from United Metro Energy Corp.
500 Kingsland Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11222 under New York State office of General Service Contract No. PC66720, and
WHEREAS: in accordance with General Municipal Law, the administration recommends such procurement under this NYSOGS contract,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the award for the Delivery of No. 2 Fuel Heating Oil to the District Facilities be made to United Metro Energy Corp., 500 Kingsland Avenue
Brooklyn, NY 11222 in amount not to exceed $3,000.00.00.
