Rationale: The Universal Prekindergarten Grant (UPK) requires that the Yonkers Public Schools District collaborates with external agencies.

Resolution: WHEREAS: 3 schools submitted requests to provide prekindergarten services to three-year old students from the Yonkers Public Schools;
and

WHEREAS the Yonkers Public Schools wishes to provide more prekindergarten seats for students and families as required by New York State Universal Prekindergarten Regulations, and

WHEREAS the Yonkers Public Schools convened a Universal Prekindergarten Committee to evaluate the proposals submitted and conducted site visits;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that Yonkers Public Schools hereby awards its Universal Prekindergarten contracts to the following vendors (listed in rank order from highest to lowest scores):

1. St. Peter’s Child Care Center ( $297,500.00)
2. Catholic School Region of Central Westchester-
St. Ann’s School ($59,500.00)
3.Westchester Community Opportunity Program ($119,000.00)



And be it Further Resolved: Yonkers Public Schools authorizes the Superintendent of Yonkers Public Schools to enter into contract negotiations and agreements for the 2018-2019 school year; and

It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation.
