Amount: $9,900
Scope: Harambee Dance Company will provide cultural stimulation and enrichment through quality dance and music instruction after-school and Saturday classes at Museum School 25 during the 2017-18 school year. Classes are designed to tap into the creative and artistic potential of each student and provide them with long lasting experiences that will aid them in becoming responsible and productive members of the community.

Resolution:

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Harambee Dance Company to purchase consulting services to support cultural stimulation and enrichment through quality dance and music instruction at Museum School 25 for the 2017-2018 school year,
WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Harambee Dance Company, a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,
WHEREAS the District has determined that these services can best be provided by Harambee Dance Company, and,
WHEREAS the District has evaluated past services from the vendor and has determined that Harambee Dance Company has performed in a satisfactory manner, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Harambee Dance Company at a cost not to exceed $9,900.
It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
