Resolution:

WHEREAS the Grandparent of student “John Doe” has filed an appeal related to a suspension which occurred on June 19, 2017 and the subsequent Superintendent’s Hearing held on June 22, 2017, which resulted in a Superintendent’s decision issued on June 28, 2017; and
WHEREAS the Board of Education has reviewed the Grandparent’s appeal which included a copy of a recording made during the Hearing as well as the corresponding record from the Superintendent’s Hearing held on June 22, 2017.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Superintendent’s decision, dated June 28, 2017 be vacated; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Education orders that within thirty (30) days, and upon timely notice to all parties, the District’s Hearing Officer convene and conduct a new Superintendent’s Hearing in this matter.
