Scope: The purpose of service is to collect and monitor data and services for multiple programs focused on Early Childhood initiatives including Yonkers Basics. This individual will work closely with District administration to assist with moving priorities forward for the remainder of the school year. In addition, based on a needs assessment at the Receivership schools, Ms. Wu will provide assistance to secure additional support for the schools’ stakeholders.

Resolution: WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Sophia Wu to purchase consulting services to collect and monitor data and services for multiple programs focused on Early Childhood initiatives including Yonkers Basics as well as provide assistance to secure additional support for the Receivership schools’ stakeholders.

WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Sophia Wu, a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,

WHEREAS the District has determined that these services can best be provided by Sophia Wu, and,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Sophia Wu at a cost not to exceed $18,900.

It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
