Scope: Nepperhan Community Center, Inc. will form a Yonkers MBK Choir and provide its students with exposure to the arts, allow for expression of their culture through music, boost self-confidence to perform before large audiences, and to travel and expose them to venues they have not had the opportunity to see. Participating students will include students enrolled in the District’s MBK programs and MLK YASA program.

Resolution: WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Nepperhan Community Center, Inc. to purchase consulting services to support the Yonkers MBK Choir program for the April 2018 to August 2018 term,

WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Nepperhan Community Center, Inc., a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,

WHEREAS the District has determined that these services can best be provided by Nepperhan Community Center, Inc., and,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Nepperhan Community Center, Inc. at a cost not to exceed $20,000.

It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
