Rationale:
|
This resolution is presented to the Board to authorize the extension of the contract completion dates of five capital funded construction contracts. This is required for paperwork purposes, only. All physical work is fully or substantially complete. The contracts with their existing and proposed completion dates are listed below:
Contract 616602; Contract 5 of 5 – ELECTRICAL WORK for CIP10459 “Upgrades to HVAC, Electrical, and Select Interior Improvements” at ENRICO FERMI SCHOOL to RLJ Electric Corp., RLJ Electric Corp.
Extend completion date from October 31, 2017 to June 30, 2018.
Contract 616304; Contract 2 of 4 – GENERAL CONSTRUCTION - WINDOWS WORK for CIP10572 “Reconstruction of Windows, Doors, Roof & Arena Features" at YONKERS MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL to Arrow Steel Window Corp.
Extend completion date from November 6, 2016 to June 30, 2018.
Contract 616985; Contract 4 of 5 – ELECTRICAL WORK for CIP10572 “Reconstruction of Windows, Doors, Roof & Arena Features" at YONKERS MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL to RLJ Electric Corporation.
Extend completion date from February 11, 2016 to June 30, 2018.
Contract 2017-0511; CONTRACT 3 of 6 GENERAL CONSTRUCTION – STRUCTURAL WORK for CIP10461 “Infrastructure Upgrades & Related Work" at VIVE SCHOOL 10 to Pearl River Plumbing, Heating & Electric, Inc. (d/b/a Bertussi’s).
Extend completion date from August 4, 2017 to June 30, 2018.
Contract 618354; Contract 6 of 6 – ELECTRICAL WORK for CIP10461 “Infrastructure Upgrades & Related Work" at VIVE SCHOOL 10 to RLJ Electric Corporation.
Extend completion date from July 7, 2016 to June 30, 2018.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS the work entailed in the listed contracts have been substantially completed, and;
WHEREAS the contract completion dates for said projects have expired, and;
WHEREAS completion of outstanding paperwork requires that the contract completion dates be extended;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education authorizes the extension of time for the listed contracts to date indicated for the purpose of processing payments and paper work:
