Rationale: Catapult Learning LLC
Term: September 1, 2024 – August 31, 2025
Amount: Not to exceed $682,528.79
Scope: Amendment-1 to Resolution 17.4 Catapult Learning LLC (BOE approved 11/20/24;BOCS approved 12/3/24) to increase the aggregate of the contract by $46,666 to provide additional services to non-public school St. Eugene's through the 21st Century Grant with no change to the term. Catapult Learning will develop a customized small-group instructional program to improve the academic achievement and meet the specific needs of Yonkers Public Schools and participating nonpublic schools for the 2024-2025 school year. Services will be provided for the eligible students In-District and Out of District through Synchronous and Synchronous Literacy intervention, Math Intervention, STEAM, Social Emotional Learning, Counseling, parent engagement, professional development for Staff and Teachers and any additional services as allowable by Title I, II, IV and 21st Century Grant during the school day, after school or weekend via in person or technology such as Computers, Chromebooks, iPads, Phones or any combination of the above.

Resolution: WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to amend the contract with Catapult Learning to provide additional services for Title I supplemental in person and/or virtual mandated instructional services to eligible students in selected non-public schools. Catapult Learning will also provide parent engagement materials and activities as per the Title I federal guidelines and will also provide professional development services, instructional tutorial services and counseling services to selected non-public schools for the 2024-2025 school year, WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Catapult Learning a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and, WHEREAS the Board of Education had authorized the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Catapult Learning to provide these services, and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into Amendment 1 with Catapult Learning for additional services and to increase the aggregate by $46,666 for a new not to exceed amount of $682,528.79. It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
