Rationale:
|
This to award the Environmental Consulting Service assignment required for the attached emergency declaration issued by the Superintendent on October 4, 2018. Adelaide was selected via their standing requirements contract with the District.
Via Resolution 17.6 at their stated meeting on March 16, 2016 the Board of Trustees awarded requirements contract to Adelaide Environmental Health Associates, Inc. (Adelaide) for an amount now totaling and not to exceed $1.0. Today’s resolution is to assign the subject capital work under that contract.
Adelaide will be providing the environmental monitoring, sampling testing and oversight of the mold cleanup as required. Their proposal, dated November 1, 2018 indicates that they will be able to complete their work for $100,000.00 however, the final cost with unanticipated added sampling and testing is $100,000.00.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: under Resolution 17.6 at the stated meeting on March 16, 2016, the Board of Education authorized the award of requirements based, Environmental Consulting Services Contract No. 618520 contract to Adelaide Environmental Health Associates, Inc. in response to District RFQ317 “Environmental Consulting Services for the School Facilities Management Department” for an amount not to exceed $1 million, and
WHEREAS: work as defined under that contract is required for the capital project 10849 “Roof Replacement & Interior Restoration” at Paideia School 15 Under an Emergency Declaration, and
WHEREAS: the response by Adelaide to a request for a proposal issued by the Facilities Department to be deemed most advantageous to the District at a cost not to exceed $100,000.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to appoint Adelaide Environmental Health Associates, Inc., 1511 Route 22, Suite C24, Brewster, NY 10509 to the task of providing professional Environmental Consulting Services for CIP 10849 “Roof Replacement & Interior Restoration” at Paideia School 15 Under an Emergency Declaration under contract 618520 in an amount not to exceed $100,000. Term is for 180 calendar days.
