Amount: $12,863.01
Scope: The Yonkers Public Schools Pathways to Success (PTS) Adult Education Program is requisitioning the purchase of the mandated NYS TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education) test booklets, version 11-12, with corresponding answer sheets. This new version will replace version 9-10 beginning 7/1/19, and NYSED has suggested that we begin implementing the new materials in January. These materials are important resources to support differentiated instruction for the TASC exam for our day and evening ABE students, which PTS serves.

Resolution:

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Data Recognition Center to purchase TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education) test booklets, version 11-12, with corresponding answer sheets to support the differentiated instruction for the TASC exam for our day and evening ABE students for the 2018-2019 school year,
WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Data Recognition Center a company which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and,
WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Data Recognition Center to provide the services, and,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED; That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Data Recognition Center at a cost not to exceed $12,863.01.
It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
