Rationale:
As required, Yonkers Public Schools Board of Education is requesting to award the transportation contracts as per RFB 6834A to the following companies: Global Transportation, INC.; Countywide Transportation; Phillip Trans Corp. First Student Inc.  
Funding:
Projected amount not to exceed per RFB Category:
-Global Transportation, not to exceed $1,215,000: Category 1-In/Out of District Special Education, $621,000, and Category 3 -Athletics, $594,000.00
--Countywide Transportation, not to exceed $10,363,500: Category 1-In/Out of District Special Education, $6,218,100, and Category 2 -McKinney Vento, $4,145,400.00
--Phillip Trans Corp., not to exceed $21,668,400: Category 1-In/Out of District Special Education, $11,043,000; Category 2 -McKinney Vento, $10,625,400
--First Student, not to exceed $4,369,938: Category 1-In/Out of District Special Education, $3,769,938, and Category 3 -Athletics, $600,000

Resolution
Now therefore be it resolved: Transportation contracts for RFB-6834A in referenced funding amounts be awarded from September 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023 w/ option to extend.

Projected amounts not to exceed:
Global Transportation $1,215,000
Countywide Transportation $10,363,500
Phillip Trans Corp. $21,668,400
First Student Inc. $4,369,938

And, be it further resolved that in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contracts awarded, routes may be added, routes may be deleted, or routes may be extended, if required and such modifications are hereby approved on condition that no such modification may exceed 10% of the contract price set forth above without prior approval of the Board of Education.

WHEREAS the administration awarded the contracts to the lowest bidders as per RFB# 6834A for the 2022-2023 school year and

WHEREAS Global Transportation, Countywide Transportation, Phillip Trans Inc., and First Students Inc, agreed to their contracts, with an option to extend with CPI.

And be it further resolved that the Yonkers Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into transportation contract negotiations and agreements for the 2022-2023 school year.
