Milcon Construction Corp. Term: 365 calendar days Amount: $472,527.16 Bid No. IFB-7217 Scope: To authorize the award of a general fund service contract for “On-Call Maintenance, Service and Repairs of Roof and Masonry Systems”. Overview: In compliance with General Municipal Law 103, bids were let and opened in public on October 11, 2024. Two (2) bids were received. The bids were duly examined and all due diligence observed in determining that Milcon Construction Corp. is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The highest bid was $1,436,950.00. Milcon Construction Corp. has won multiple contracts in the past through competitive bidding and has performed acceptably. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and protection necessary to perform inspections, routine maintenance, on-call repairs and emergency repairs for all District facilities. This is an annual service contract, with the provision for renewal up to four additional years by mutual consent under the same terms and conditions for the maintenance, service and repair of roof and masonry systems in the District. |

WHEREAS in compliance with General Municipal Law 103, bids were duly solicited, opened and read aloud in public on October 11, 2024 for Bid IFB-7217 “On-Call Maintenance, Service and Repairs of Roof and Masonry Systems”, and WHEREAS as a result of an examination of the bids submitted, the administration determined that Milcon Construction Corp. was the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, with a bid of $472,527.16. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to award Bid IFB -7217 “On-Call Maintenance, Service and Repairs of Roof and Masonry Systems” to Milcon Construction Corp. for an amount not to exceed $472,527.16 for a term of 365 calendar days, renewable for up to four additional years by mutual consent under the same terms and conditions. |
