Rationale:
|
The Yonkers Public Schools is requesting that Mr. John R. Becker be awarded a fourth Personal Services Agreement for the 2017 calendar year in order to assist the Executive Director in managing the sizable capital construction program being implemented in the coming year.
At this time, this work and expenditure limits will include but not necessarily be limited to the following amounts and projects, these are estimates of the amounts and may be altered, deleted or changed to meet the needs of the District. The total sum of $30,000, exclusive of reimbursables, is not to be exceeded without contract amendment authorized by the Board.
ASSESSMENT PROCESS: Reporting directly to the Executive Director, his new duties will include the coordination of contractors, designers and other outside forces with District forces and school populations. He will also review and advise and contract design, construction progress and future scheduling.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS; the Board is pursuing a substantial capital improvement program and desires to do this as effectively as possible, and
WHEREAS; there is a need for additional experienced personnel to accomplish this, and
WHEREAS; Mr. John R. Becker has demonstrated his proficiency with all aspects of capital and facility construction, and
WHEREAS; these services will include but not be limited to: coordination of District with outside forces, consulting services on design and construction control and progress.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Administration would like to issue a personal services contract to:

AND THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to issue a contract to Mr. Becker in the amount of $30,000.00 for a term of 356 calendar days. |
