To initiate and authorize the Office of the Corporation Counsel to file, commence, and represent the School District in administrative proceedings for the 2017-2018 school year. |

Resolution
|
WHEREAS the Board of Education of Yonkers Public Schools (the “Board”) wishes to file New York state due process notices to request impartial hearings pursuant to Part 200.5(g) of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education (the “administrative proceeding”) in order to protect the best interests of the School District when the Office of the Corporation Counsel deems it in the best interest of the School District.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board hereby approves and authorizes the filing, commencement, and handling of administrative proceedings by the Office of the Corporation Counsel for the 2017-2018 school year; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board hereby authorizes the Office of the Corporation Counsel, the Superintendent, and/or his designee to take all necessary and appropriate actions related to the administrative proceedings authorized herein. |
