Scope: The 2018 Lower Hudson Valley MBK Alliance Summit will be attended by Yonkers Public Schools MBK students to promote promising practices and workshops that demonstrate effectiveness and offer boys and young men of color, regardless of their income, geography, or family circumstances, the greatest opportunities to succeed in school and beyond. This resolution serves to cover the cost of YPS participants’ registration fees to attend the Summit.

Resolution
WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to cover the cost of YPS participants’ attending the 2018 Lower Hudson Valley MBK Alliance Summit to promote promising practices and workshops that demonstrate effectiveness and offer boys and young men of color the greatest opportunities to succeed in school and beyond,

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Friends of Theodore D. Young Community Center (TDYCC) at a cost not to exceed $10,800.

It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office.
