Rationale:
|
This is to supply sixty-nine (69) fold out cafeteria tables to: School 26: 15 tables, Yonkers Montessori Academy: 20 tables, School 32: 14 tables and M.L. King School: 20 tables.
This is a continuation of the District’s effort to maintain a safe and comfortable environment by the systematic replacement and upgrade to unacceptable cafeteria tables. These tables are heavy duty and present a uniform look throughout the district.
The vendor will provide AmTab Manufacturing Corporation folding, 12 foot rectangular and one 5 foot round cafeteria tables as detailed in the school quotes under the Southern Westchester BOCES Contract # 2016-17-C15 which expires in June 30, 2018.
The district signed onto the above BOCES contract via Resolution 19.2 passed unanimously at the Board’s stated meeting held on June 20, 2017. |

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: the District has determined that the existing folding cafeteria tables need to be continually upgraded to provide a safe, comfortable and aesthetically pleasing cafeteria environment, and
WHEREAS: in support of this effort sixty-nine (69) new cafeteria tables to are required at the following schools: School 26: 15 tables, Yonkers Montessori Academy: 20 tables, School 32: 14 tables and Martin Luther King School: 20 tables, and
WHEREAS: these tables are available for purchase from Health and Educational Equipment Corp. under Southern Westchester BOCES Contract # 2016-17-C15 at an acceptable price, and
WHEREAS: in accordance with General Municipal Law and Resolution 19.2 passed at the Board’s stated meeting of June 20, 2017, the district is permitted to avail itself of the goods awarded in this contract.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the award for the furnishing and installation of sixty-nine (69) folding cafeteria tables be awarded to: Am Tab-American Tables, C/O HNE Equipment 1371-5 Church Street, Bohemia, NY 11716 in an amount not to exceed $90,560.03 under Southern Westchester BOCES Contract # 2016-17-C15. |
