Total New Contract: $22,600.00
The Writing Institute at Sarah Lawrence College will convene creative writing workshops to Middle and High School students for 5 weeks. The session will be during the afternoon (twice per week) for a total of 10 days for Middle School and 10 days for High School students. As expressed in the grant proposal, the purpose of this program is "provide rigorous creative writing workshops.” |

Resolution

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to amend an existing contract with Sarah Lawrence College to offer additional workshops to support Yonkers Public Schools’ Middle and High School,
WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Sarah Lawrence a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board of Education and the New York State Education Department, and,
WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to amend an existing agreement with Sarah Lawrence College, to provide these additional workshops, and
WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to amend an existing agreement with Sarah Lawrence College, to extend the existing agreement, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to amend an existing agreement with Sarah Lawrence College at an additional cost not to exceed $10,000.00. The total new contract amount will be $22,600.00.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to amend an existing agreement with Sarah Lawrence College, to extend to existing agreement ending in April 2024 by four months to August 2024. |
