The First Tee of Metropolitan NY Term: January 2018 – August 2018 Amount: $5,000 Scope:
A coach and volunteer from First Tee will expose a total of twenty high school sophomores and juniors to The First Tee Curriculum which embodies life skills & education through the game of golf for a total of 24 sessions. Resolution
WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with The First Tee of Metropolitan NY to purchase coaching services to provide twenty students from the eight high schools for the 2017-2018 school year, WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with The First Tee of Metropolitan NY, a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and, WHEREAS the District has determined that these services can best be provided by The First Tee of Metropolitan NY, and, WHEREAS the District has evaluated past services from the vendor and has determined that The First Tee of Metropolitan NY has performed in a satisfactory manner, and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with The First Tee of Metropolitan NY at a cost not to exceed $5,000. It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply.
