Rationale:
|
Scope: This is an Agreement to amend the existing Amendment (25.5 BOE July 11, 2018) and an Agreement to amend existing contract (19.26 BOE December 20th, 2017 BOCS 12/28/17). Amendment (17.9 BOE approved 1/17/18 BOCS 1/25/18) and amendment (17.3 BOE approved 2/28/2018) with the Center for Professional Education of Teachers (CPET, Teachers College). The reason for this Amendment is to revise the name of the subject from CPET to The Center for Professional Education of Teachers and to revise the dates of the Amendment Agreement from 2017-2018 to July 16, 2018 to August 10, 2018.. The total contract amount will be $64,500. |

Resolution

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Teachers College Center for Professional Education of Teachers to purchase consulting services for the Orchard School to support Professional Development Workshops for administrators and classroom teachers to improve student achievement in Grades K-12 for the period of July 16 , 2018 to August 10, 2018. WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Teachers College Center for Professional Education of Teachers a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and, WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Teachers College Center for Professional Education of Teachers to provide these services, and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Teachers College Center for Professional Education of Teachers at a cost not to exceed $9,000.00 It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office. |
