Bids were advertised on August 10, opened, and read aloud in public on August 31, 2018. There were 3 bidders. The apparent low bidder was at $84,000.00 and the high bidder at $96,800.00. The apparent low bidder, Pragmatech Sound Corp, did not meet the qualifications stated in the bid documents, to produce 5 recent references, substantiate that the company has full time, factory trained technicians and demonstrate knowledge on the repair of school intercommunication equipment and clock equipment. Therefore, the second lowest bidder, Symbrant Technologies is awarded the contract. The contract for Fiscal year 2017/2018 was awarded for $172,600. The Purchase Order was later reduced by $50,000.00 bringing the actual contract value to $122,600 out of which $116,037.50 was expensed as of Sept.20, 2018. There is $6,565.50 balance in the contract. This contract has a term of one year, renewable under the same terms and conditions by the mutual consent of both parties for up to two additional years for the repair and replacement of School intercom & public address systems, and clock systems. |
