GML104B Empress Ambulance Service, Inc. Term: 2017-2018 school year Master Contract 2018-00000459 and BOCS approval date 10/19/2017. Resolution 20.4 Empress Ambulance Service, Inc. and Yonkers Pathways to Success was approved on 10/18/17 for the amount of 12,000.00. This Amendment is to increase the dollar amount by $18,960 and to increase the amount of students to be served by 316. The new total amount is $30,960.00 and the new total number of students to be served is 516. The Yonkers Public Schools Pathways to Success (PTS) Adult Education program is requisitioning the execution of a contract to provide training for students in the Facilities Management and Culinary Programs to receive their CPR Certification. The contract includes purchase of workbooks and certificates as well. CPR is an industry-recognized certificate which will enhance the employability of these adult learners. |

WHEREAS the Board of Education wishes to enter into a contract with Empress Ambulance Service, Inc. to provide CPR/AED Training to support the Adult Education Program for the 2017-2018 school year, WHEREAS the district administration has designed in conjunction with Empress Ambulance Service, Inc. a program which meets the objectives set forth by the Board and the New York State Education Department, and, WHEREAS the Board of Education authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Empress Ambulance Service, Inc. to provide the services, and, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED; That the Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to enter into an agreement with Empress Ambulance Service, Inc. at a cost not to exceed $30,960.00. It is acknowledged and agreed that pursuant to the terms of that certain intermunicipal agreement by and between the City of Yonkers Board of Education (“BOE”) and the City of Yonkers (the “City”) as filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 16, 2014, the terms of this agreement are subject to review and revision by the Corporation Counsel, as well as approval by the City’s Board of Contract and Supply. Furthermore, this Agreement shall not be enforceable until signed by both parties and approved by the Corporation Counsel’s Office. |
