Rationale:
|
This is to provide No. 2 heating oil for all District owned and operated buildings and supplemental fuel for Yonkers Public Schools. Usage is estimated at 1.4 million gallons for the Yonkers Public Schools. The estimated budget price is roughly $2.5142 per gallon. At current estimated rates and the above usage estimate the annual cost of fuel would be $3,520,000.00.
Last year (2017-2018) the oil conception was at 1.46 million gallons for a total cost of $3,204,454.80. The average cost per gallon was $2.1948.
Revisions (increases or decreases) to the budgeted contract price shall be based on prices posted in the Oil Price Information Service (OPIS) “Oil Price Daily”. New York State OGS Procurement (NYSPro) will compute any price revisions by determining the difference between the posted price of $1.8602 on the Contract start date of August 31, 2018, and the posted price every Thursday during the contract period. |

Ladies and Gentlemen:
WHEREAS: the district is required to supply number 2 heating all to most of its schools and other facilities to provide heat and hot water, and
WHEREAS: such service is available for procurement Sprague Operating Resources LLC, 185 International Dr. Portsmouth ,NH 03801 under New York State office of General Service Contract No. PC68104, and
WHEREAS: in accordance with General Municipal Law, the administration recommends such procurement under this NYSOGS contract,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the award for the Delivery of No. 2 Fuel Heating Oil to the District Facilities be made to Sprague Operating Resources LLC, 185 International Dr. Portsmouth ,NH 03801 in amount not to exceed $3,520.00.00. |
