Rationale:
|
Royal Coach Lines LLC, was acquired by Beacon Mobility on September 1, 2023 and requested permission for the Yonkers Board of Education to approve the transfer of all Royal Coach Lines INC accounts and agreements to Royal Coach Lines LLC on 10/19/2023.
Scope:
On September 1, 2023, ROYAL COACH LINES INC, (“Royal Coach”) was acquired by Beacon Mobility. As part of the acquisition, BEACON MOBILITY assigned all customer accounts and agreements (the “Royal Coach Lines Inc” Accounts and Agreements”) to ROYAL COACH LINES LLC Accordingly, all Royal Coach Lines Inc Accounts and Agreements are now solely owned and will be honored and serviced by Royal Coach lines LLC.

Whereas the District entered into a contract with Royal Coach Lines Inc. per Resolution No. 22.6 dated 06/21/2023 for transportation services $13,579,779.60.
Whereas Royal Coach Lines Inc. now operates as Royal Coach Lines LLC;
Whereas Royal Coach Lines LLC is 100% owned by Van Pool Transportation;
Whereas Van Pool Transportation is 100% owned by VP Intermediate Company;
Whereas VP Intermediate Company is 100% owned by Beacon Mobility;
Whereas Beacon Mobility will be operating under Royal Coach Lines LLC and will assume all contractual obligations under the contract 2023-0045”
WHEREAS said name change was completed prior to successfully commencing the school year by providing transportation services when schools began in September 7, 2023 and continues to be used successfully, and,
WHEREAS Royal Coach Lines INC acquired Royal Coach Lines LLC, which was owned by Van Pools Transportation, which was owned by VP Intermediate Company, which was owned by Beacon Mobility which now will be operating as Royal Coach Lines LLC and will assume all contractual obligations under the contract 2023-0045 as per written notification received on October 19, 2023, from Beacon Mobility at no additional cost;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Yonkers Board of Schools hereby approves the Assignment of CONTRACT # 2023-0045 from Royal Coach Lines Inc to Royal Coach Lines LLC, and the Superintendent of Schools is hereby authorized to continue the agreement with Royal Coach Lines LLC to provide transportation to the YPS students annual hosting/maintenance cost of $13,579,779.60 for the 2023-2024 school year. |
